I put the request in to upgrade with aussie on the thursday. The contractor came on the monday at 12 and i was live and running by 2pm monday.

Just remember that the tech is not allowed to enter the roof space or access the roof itself.

I just had them install mine back to back and ordered a 30m fibre cable and relocated the internal modem to where i actually wanted it.

I am in WA as well.

On the other side if what you are asking....... it took about 8 months from "your area is being upgraded" to "upgrade available"

that would be good. just keep an eye on the nbn update site so you can book straight away when ready.

im with ABB and from booking to up and running was a week.

It’s a good idea to run some NBN approved conduit with a draw string from the outside box to wherever you actually want the NTD to be installed. Make it easier for them to do what you want than to do their usual half-arsed job.

The installers are a very mixed bag. The guy who did mine was doing the install in between his regular business of installing garage doors. Most of them don’t have much of a clue.
