We just received this from our RSP...
Here's the link if you want to read the nitty-gritty ...
If that last para seems obtuse. it's likely because TPG renegotiated our contract a few years back (the fixed wireless service couldn't provide the current plan's specifications), so we're at the lowest service tier possible, and enforcement of this policy could push us below where we are now (1.2mbps down/130kbps up), and they'd be happy to foist us off onto skymuster satellite because there's SFA they can do (until the mentioned 750million upgrade is deployed).
What I'm curious about, is if any other NBN fixed wireless users have received the same notification ~ the reason I ask that, if that I (and everyone around here) know the tower providing this service is heavily overloaded (NBN inspector was out here because of housemate's problems with the VOIP service and told us as much), but someone else I know on fixed wireless (tower facility upgraded to 4G) haven't got any such notice (maybe give it time =)
...funny thing is, my asus zenfone tethered via USB (amaysim on optus backbone)....connected to the same tower....actually out-performs the fixed wireless on streaming downloads (no buffering/interrupts)...

I'm on FW and havent yet received this advice from ABB, however I knew NBN was going to start restricting heavy users.
Funny thing is, my FW tower has been congested since day one, despite all the glossy brochures and PR speak about upgrades, including the hundreds of "maintenace outages" the tower is still congested. I also know that NBN is working it's way around the country replacing the v2 NBN antennas with V3 - the ones where NBN can switch the premise from one band to another depending on congestion.
From Day 1 FW has been a dog's breakfast for us users, however being over 7km from the local exchnage meant ADSL wasnt a good option for me, the Starlink app says too many trees for me, so I'm grateful to be on FW and not to be in a satellite footprint.

I'm on FW with Origin. So far it hasn't affected me Though, these days I'm usually just browsing the 'net whilst watching a streaming service, so not particularly intensive. It is certainly faster than my ADSL service that I had at this premises before.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
